My first stop everytime I go to Herrin, Il

Love this place! Friendly staff, clean, good food and reasonable price.

I love hometown cooking and a good cafe to get a good meal. The hometown owned and operated restaurant has amazing food and so many good daily specials.

it has awesome food fair prices. only downfall is no real healthy options I would recommend to anyone that wants comfort food and I will be back this was my 3rd experience

Just tried to eat here. After standing behind an older gentleman and the woman taking orders for about 10 minutes, we step up to place an order and he bumps back between us and the window, all in my face no mask to say he also wants a water. Then the woman taking orders comes back to the window, mask down below her chin approximately 1 ft from my face to yell out customer orders....and I felt spray on my face. Yeah, not coming back and would warn others about eating here. The older gentlemen smoking cigarettes 6 ft from the order window next to all the dining patrons was a nice touch too.

Loved it new to the area.

Excellent food & Nice waitresses

One of my favorite local diners.. going here for a long time . Been a while though. Better cook than the last time , it was yummy ! I like the fact you can watch the cooks cook the grill like a diner should be. He is fast as well.

The food here is awesome!! Especially the biscuits and gravy. The staff are great to. We love Ms. Marilyn. 😀💞

A hometown restaurant, that is very popular with the locals. I ordered a chili mac that had no flavor or seasoning. I will not be returning.

Best western omelet ever

Step back in time a bit for some good ol comfort food of small town. Don't get me wrong it has all the great taste you would expect 😉

The food is delicious, the waitress was excellent as well as the rest of the staff. They are not over priced. The place was full of people when we went in. Almost had to wait for a seat.

Good food and great prices but I feel like being a younger person we never get the service the older guests do. There’s one waitress in particular that will never speak to us other than to take our order and then will talk our ear off once it’s time to pay. We quit going as much because of this and it sucks because it’s our favorite breakfast place.

It was a very good and pleasant experience!! Food was good, except Im a person that Cant do very much spice.....and! Their sausage is a little too spicy for me!! But the rest is Good!!! And service is awesome!!

Only the second time we've ever been here, but the food is great! My wife had the Book Burger and I had a breakfast platter. Staff was super busy so expect a wait from time to time. Arrived and sat for about 10 minutes before we were approached for our order.

Their biscuits and gravy are quite awesome, a lovely little diner that's open 7 days a week.

Went on Sunday morning around 10, it wasn't too busy at all. The food and service were both excellent.

Fish was a bad fishy taste. Breading was good. Left bad flavor in mouth though. Nice staff and good server.

Good place to eat, warm and friendly

Food is very good & affordable. Service was good also. Would suggest if you're planning on sitting down to eat though, to go a little before the lunch crowd, because they're pretty crowded. They only have about 6-8 tables & a countertop that goes along the outside walls of the inside of the restaurant & a few tables outside of the restaurant too. They're very popular & worth the wait.

They have very succulant burgers. I like succulent burgers.
